MINISTRIES  OF OUR CHURCH

CHILDREN & YOUTH

MINISTRY

Children of all ages are welcome at the Church of the Palms!  In worship, education and special events, we learn about the life of Jesus and the Bible, while often digging into some songs and arts & crafts.  Sunday School is offered November through April for grades K-5.  Youth Group is available to youth 6-12.

MUSIC

MINISTRY

Music is important to the worship life at Church of the Palms and Boynton Beach Congregational Church.  Weekly, we are inspired by the sounds from our lovely pipe organ and grand piano.  Guest soloists and instrumentalists grace our services.   If you sing or play an instrument and would like to share your time and talent, please speak to Steven Gorden our Organist an director of Music.

MISSION

MINISTRY

As part of our visioning process, Church of the Palms is committed to being a more mission-oriented congregation.

Various hands-on mission opportunities are available throughout the year.

Representatives from Church of the Palms sit on two important and active committees in Delray Beach:  (1) The Interfaith Committee on Social Services and (2) The Delray Beach Homeless Initiative Taskforce.  Both do vitally important work.  We are proud to support both organizations with COTP representatives.

Additionally, we partner with and support the Loving God Orphanage in Gonaives, Haiti as well as college students in Venant, Haiti.

REEL THEOLOGY

Several Reel Theology opportunities are offered throughout the year.  Members and friends gather to watch movies with religious/theological undertones.  After the movie, there's a guided discussion time followed by food and fellowship.  Reel Theology takes place in member/friends homes.

WOMEN'S

MINISTRY

Women's Fellowship is a group for all women of the church and community who meet together and have open discussions, mission projects, and opportunities to support the church.  Regular meetings are announced in the weekly newsletter.

ADULT

EDUCATION

Various Christian education opportunities for adults are available throughout the year.

These opportunities include Bible Study and various lectures on a variety of topics related to the church and one's spiritual journey.

BOOK CLUB

Book Club chooses a new book two or three times a year and then gathers for conversation and fellowship.  Some pack a sack lunch and enjoy meal fellowship, too!

LGBTQ+ CIRCLE

LGBTQ+ folks gather for educational, fellowship, and community service opportunities.

WEEKLY MINISTRIES

PRAYER CIRCLE

Each week, people gather with the pastor and form an important prayer circle.  It's a powerful experience for all who gather.
